Nebulae are the stuff of galaxies, stars and planetary systems. They consist mostly of dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases. Nebulae attract more objects towards them which with the effect of gravity forms stars, planets and other familiar stuff.
How nebulae are formed?
Nebulae are formed when the interstellar gas comes under the gravitational collapse of its own mass. It is also formed as a result of supernova explosions.
Nebulae comes in four flavors ,H II regions ( four subcategories diffuse nebulae, bright nebulae, and reflection nebulae.), Planetary nebulae, Supernova remnant, Dark nebulae.
H II is the term used for ionized hydrogen so these type of nebulae contains ionized hydrogen mostly.
